The Traditional Japanese Acupuncture program will begin looking at the history and background of Japanese Acupuncture with Atsuki Maeda.  Traditional Japanese Acupuncture is rooted in the classical texts (Su Wen, Ling Shu, and Nan Jing) and enhanced by modern clinical experience in the practical application of these theories.  Students will better understand how acupuncture was influenced and refined by the Japanese and their culture; especially the advancement and progression that took place beginning in the Edo Period.  Participants will learn skillful and focused palpation techniques which will help determine not only the correct pattern, but the nature of imbalance at specific acupuncture points and the most appropriate needling techniques to be utilized based on that palpation.
